Secrets to Wealth Mastery- Is procrastination blocking your wealth buidling?

I was listening to a call today and the topic was procrastination. I don’t know about you, but often it seems the day gets away without completing the major wealth building goal that I had envisioned for that day. When that happens, I ask myself if it was procrastination or the urgent taking over for the important. Urgent is something that has to be done now, even though it may not be important to achieving your long term or short term goals. Things like helping your spouse, helping your child solve a problem, no food for dinner, so there is a run to the store. You get the picture. Meanwhile the calls you were going g to make or the marketing development activities that you were going to accomplish go unfinished.


One secret to wealth mastery is to do the important and not the urgent. I have found that to accomplish important wealth building goals for the day, I block out time on the calendar each day and schedule the most important activities early in the day, so they get done before the other interruptions or urgent crisis. I actually color code my activities and include major blocks of time for ones that I really want to accomplish that day as well as for scheduled meetings and calls. I work this around my daily energy cycle and include time for meals and workouts as well. I also find that I need some flexibility in the day in order to be the most productive and consequently, do not schedule every hour. The balance of planned activities and unscheduled time allow me to react to events and calls as they unfold during the day, while achieving my 2 main wealth building goals, marketing for new prospects and taking to them. Finding the right balance is a constant struggle and so I plan each day and each week to achieve the money making actions that I can control, which lead to results and achieving overall wealth building goals.
