What Do I Look for in a Legitimate Home Business Opportunity?

There are two ways to approach this question, What Do I Look for in a Legitimate Home Business? The first is to do a review of home businesses and give an opinion on each one. There are an untold of legitimate home business opportunities that can make you money on internet. Trying to find and evaluate each one would take a very long time, and then you would have to begin again since there are new ones started every day. The second way is to define criteria that you should consider while you are evaluating a legitimate home business opportunity.


As I think about it, the issue comes down to how I can tell if a home business opportunity is legitimate. Before I begin, it is important for you to know that I have been involved with more than a dozen home business opportunities. Some have closed, others have espoused a model of recruiting 2 of your friends who are willing to repeat the process and then you will make the big bucks. Some cost thousands to get into, while in others you can get in for free.

In very case, the legitimate home business opportunity is really the opportunity to make money. You do that by selling yourself! People must trust you before they will do business with you, especially when you are doing business primarily over the phone. The product is very important, but secondary. In order to be successful, you must have a great product. Most of the companies, especially those in multi level marketing, have great products. If you can get excited about the product, you are in a better position to be successful. Ask yourself if you saw this in a store, would you buy it? If the answer is yes you can move forward to considering the other criteria, such as can I do this?

Most people have some skills that will enable them to be successful in a legitimate home business opportunity, but most do NOT have the complete set necessary to be successful. If you don’t where are you going to get the help necessary for your growth in order to be successful? The answer should be one that includes an organized structure, capable of giving you help and answering your questions in a LIVE setting. If the answer is yes, then you can move on to the next criteria.
